Should Sacred Heart’s lead hold, and the top seeds in other low-major leagues continue to win their conference tourneys, then either the Mountaineers or Pioneers would be a shoo-in for the play-in game.
When people think March Madness they usually think of only the Big Dance but the some of the biggest surprises and upsets actually come in the non-BCS league conference tourneys. While it’s too bad that a very good RoMo squad was the victim of such an upset today the simple fact is The Mount flat-out was the better team today so congrats to their coach Milan Brown and his team. They earned the right to play for a trip the Big Dance.
