10 Things We Learned in the NBA This Week
Which is why the good folks at Fox Sports and Sports Illustrated get paid: To bring me, and therefore you, all the news from the NBA that I’ve been too busy thinking of ways to coax Jim Kelly out of retirement to QB my beloved Buffalo Bills and fantasizing about getting English pop tart and model Jamelia into the sack to blog about.
Of course, based on the fact that the biggest news this past week was that Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers wants the league to tighten up the dress code for players that are inactive but are chilling on their respective squad’s bench — he said “… (it) would be a great move by [commissioner] David [Stern] and [deputy commissioner] Russ [Granik].” — and that the Trailblazers are excited about having the gangly and ineffective Joel Przybilla supplant Theo Ratliff as their starting center, I’d have to say that I made the right choice in not paying the NBA much mind. Hell, even for the off-season, this was a week that was slower than ‘Shrub reacting to a major crisis.
At least we’re that much closer to Midnight Madness.
